Introducing the Collar With A Cause
It’s no secret that we love giving back to the dog community as we donate new and gently-used collars and leashes to various shelters and rescues around the United States. As we found ourselves wanting to drive an even greater impact, we created the Collar With A Cause. For every Collar With A Cause purchase, $5 is donated to the charitable organization represented in the design of each collection. So far we have introduced five of these to the collection and we certainly do plan to expand this offering soon. If you have an idea for a charity or cause that would pair great as a Collar For A Cause, send us an email!
Love is Love - Spread the love while celebrating pride and equality every day of the year! For every purchase from this collection, $5 is donated to the Human Rights Campaign. From their site: “As the largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer Americans, the Human Rights Campaign represents a force of more than 3 million members and supporters nationwide — all committed to making HRC's vision a reality. HRC envisions a world where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people are embraced as full members of society at home, at work and in every community.”
Save the Whales - Help save the whales with the purchase of this collection! For every purchase from this collection, $5 is donated to Save the Whales. From their site: “Many people believe that whales have been protected by the 1986 worldwide ban on whaling, don't believe it! Killings, captures, bombings, plastic ingestion, and pollution continue to threaten these peaceful creatures. We invite you to support Save The Whales, a widely-admired nonprofit organization that has been working tirelessly to protect marine life for 40 years.”
Save the Panda - With less than 2,000 Giant Panda left in the wild, purchase this special collection to help save one of the world's cutest and most endangered animals from extinction. For every purchase, $5 is donated to the World Wide Fund For Nature. From their site: “The natural world shows us in so many ways a simple truth: there is strength in numbers. At WWF, we envision a world in which people and nature thrive – but we’ll only get there if we all play a role. We’ll only get there if we work together.”
Miss Piggy - Show off your love for one of the most intelligent animals in the world, this unique collection supports piggies rescued from abuse, neglect, slaughter, animal testing, and abandonment, including "teacup" pigs that get left behind for growing too big. For every purchase, $5 is donated to Central Texas Pig Rescue. From their site: “Central Texas Pig Rescue was founded to help advocate, educate and rehabilitate on behalf of pet pigs. Only 3-10% of people who purchase a pet pig keep it. The other 90-97% of pigs end up abandoned, in shelters, on Craigslist or worse. We want to change that. Pigs are challenging pets and not as easy as most breeders would have you believe. They do get big (there is no such thing as a "teacup" or "micro" pig) and can be very demanding pets. They do not act like dogs, they require a lot of attention and can live for 20 years. But, in the right home, they are wonderful companions. At CTPR we provide education on pigs, support to pig owners and rescue services to pigs in need. We are committed to helping people understand the unique challenges and rewards of owning a pig and helping educate on the issues and misinformation surrounding pigs.”
Save the Elephant - Help prevent the extinction of this majestic and highly endangered animal by supporting the first elephant orphan rescue and rehabilitation program in the world. For every purchase, $5 is donated to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Nairobi, Kenya. From their site: “As the human population expands, pushing wildlife to the very brink of extinction and wild habitats to the edge of destruction, the Sheldrick Trust is determined to reverse the effects of the past and prevent the effects of the present, in the hope for a better future for both wildlife and mankind."
