Shelter Spotlight: Save-An-Angel
Save-An-Angel was founded in honor of Angel, the dog of John and Kristie. Angel received a lymphoma diagnosis and was given six months to live, and that was with chemotherapy. She needed a bone marrow transplant which cost a whopping $16,000! John and Kristie gave up their wedding rings and honeymoon to pay for the life-saving treatment, and Angel is cancer free to this day!
Because of this, it’s no surprise that rescuing dogs who have received a lymphoma diagnosis is where Save-An-Angel’s heart lies. Their mission statement says,
"Save-An-Angel’s mission is to help save the lives of dogs diagnosed with lymphoma by funding cutting edge research and providing education, support, and access to state of the art treatments that offer cures."
Save-An-Angel also rescues, networks, rehabilitates, re-homes, and relocates dogs saved from overcrowded shelters and those found abandoned on the street. Our goal is to help the rescued dogs become part of loving families who will love them through all of life’s challenges.”
Their vision is an affordable cure for all and a better world through kindness to animals, both of which are causes we support 100%! We’re happy to have donated over 100 collars and leashes to Save-An-Angel. Save-An-Angel is in need of other donations as well! Click here to find out more information. You can donate via online, by mail, or even through Amazon Smile.
