Collar Sizing Charge

A properly fitting collar should fit snug, but it shouldn't be too tight nor loose. See below for how to measure your pet's neck to find the best fitting collar for their size and shape. If you don't have a tailor's measuring tape at home, you can use an old shoestring or even your phone's charging cable as a basic measuring device. This is much easier than trying to wrap a tape measure around your pet's neck!

  • Gently pull the measuring device around the thickest part of their neck, as shown in point #1 below.
  • Allow sufficient room to slip two fingers between the collar and the pet's neck.
  • Mark the spot where the measuring device ends and then use a tape measure or a ruler to measure the length of the end of the measuring device to the marked spot.
  • If ordering a martingale collar, you also want to make sure that the martingale collar can easily slide over the crown of their head, as shown in point #2 below.
Measuring Your DogGet Wagging collars are designed to be safely enjoyed for everyday activity, including leash walks, runs, and supervised daily pet activities. Get Wagging products are not recommended for use in conjunction with a tie out and doing so may result in product failure or injury.
